Pastoral Australia is a fragile eco-system and as landowners we are only too aware of this.   Through effective dam and pipeline systems and conservative stocking rates, Tolarno aims to run an effective rural enterprise while improving the recovery process of the land.   In its heyday Tolarno ran in excess of 330,000 sheep on the property which lead to severe land degradation.   In the last 4 years since RE and LG McBride took over control of the property they have done a great deal to revegetate areas, rip in excess of 4000 rabbit warrens and knock out thousands of acres of hopbush (weed).

Government departments have assisted a great deal in the process of improving land management and revegetation.   Nature strips are in the process of construction along the Darling River.

Tours throughout Tolarno are available to explain both the wildlife and ecosystems of the region.   Outback tours can range from 6 hours to 3 days to discover the enormous wealth of plant life and native species.
